Alkavex, the steel trading arm of Alkagesta, took part in three industry exhibitions in Shanghai covering metallurgy, wire and tube production, according to Alkagesta Media. Metallurgy China 2026, Wire China 2026 and Tube China 2026 ran concurrently at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre as part of the second China International Steel Week. The company’s account described participation as an opportunity to follow developments in steel and metals and connect with Chinese and international industry participants.

Deputy chief executive Nijat Osmanlı and China business developer Bayram Bayramli represented Alkavex during the four-day programme. They engaged with steelmakers, equipment manufacturers, traders and logistics providers, the outlet said. The account reported industry engagement but did not announce any contracts, trading volumes or commercial agreements resulting from the company’s attendance.

Metallurgy China, now in its 24th edition, brought together more than 1,000 enterprises within an exhibition area of 20,000 square metres, according to Alkagesta Media. Its programme centred on the steel sector’s shift towards higher-end products, intelligent technologies and greener development. Exhibits covered technologies, production processes, equipment and business models, with the event also intended to encourage collaboration and support the industry’s international development.

The concurrent Wire China and Tube China exhibitions covered the wire, cable, tube and pipe sectors, featuring domestic and international brands. Alkagesta Media named Shanghai Electric Cable Research Institute, Messe Düsseldorf Shanghai and MC-CCPIT as organisers. Both fairs were in their 12th editions, and the outlet reported that they attracted more than 50,000 professional buyers from around the world.

The wire and tube events focused on low-carbon and green production, digitalisation, intelligent technologies and the use of lightweight materials in global markets. For Alkavex, the source said, attending all three exhibitions offered access to developments across the steel and metals industry, alongside opportunities to engage directly with producers, traders and technology suppliers.
